Virtual Chemistry Teacher (High School)

Location: Remote (Eligible States Like: California, New York, Chesapeake, Virginia; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Plano, Texas; and Tampa, Florida)

Job Shift:

  • Morning Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Evening Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Rotating Shift: May involve a combination of morning and evening hours.

Hours:

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime may be required and will be compensated at a higher rate.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Virtual Chemistry Teacher to join our team in delivering high-quality education to high school students. This position is remote, and candidates must be based in one of the eligible states. The role involves teaching chemistry through an online platform, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive understanding of the subject in alignment with curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive online chemistry lessons to high school students.
  • Develop lesson plans that align with state and national curriculum standards.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive virtual classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters learning.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and tools to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and school administration.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and technological advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification for high school chemistry.
  • Proven experience teaching high school chemistry, preferably in an online setting.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and curriculum standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using virtual teaching tools and platforms.
  • Ability to create a dynamic and interactive online learning environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience with educational technology and online learning management systems.
  • Familiarity with various instructional strategies and approaches for online education.
