WordPress 6.2 brings an improved editing experience with the entire site structure placed at the center. Navigation menus can now be managed more easily, style changes can be pushed from a single block to Global Styles, and templates and template parts can be navigated effortlessly with colorized template parts and reusable blocks.

The capabilities of several core block types have been extended with WordPress 6.2. Many of the new features and improvements introduced with WordPress 6.2 enhance the CMS’s styling and design capabilities.

The new major release of WordPress 6.2 includes a total of 292 improvements, 354 bug fixes for site editing, and over 195 other changes. The main highlight of WordPress 6.2 is that WordPress core is now moving the site editor out of beta and improving the settings and interface for block themes (FSE themes) inside the site editor. Other new features include better controls and UI for the core navigation block.
