Introduce Yourself Here Digital Nomad

Hello everyone, welcome to the Jorcus community.

We’re on a mission to help bring together the digital nomads and remote workers community with the capability to help each other out during the hardest stages of their journey. Whether you’re a digital nomad or a remote worker looking to find out how to start or an established nomad looking to connect with your community this community is for you.

We are a digital nomad and remote worker community for digital nomadic people. We help each other to find a job, apartment, city, language and more. We are a community for digital nomads to find their job, where they can live and how to meet their friends in the digital nomad life.

We are also a community of digital nomads, who travel the world in search of new adventures and opportunities. We are always on the move, exploring and experiencing new cultures, meeting new people and experiencing beautiful places. We share our experiences with our followers and provide them with useful information on how to travel and work as a digital nomad.

There are quite a few digital nomads around the world right now, but it’s hard to find them. We are going to be the ones leading the community. We want to be the ones to share the information to you how to make a living in a new way, becoming a digital nomad. So, we are going to introduce you to all the people in the community, as well as the reasons why you should live as a digital nomad.

It’s so amazing that you are here. Please introduce yourself to the community, so that we can maintain closer contact with the community and make each other closer. Write a bit about yourself, tell us who you are, what you do, where do you are from, a list of your favorite place and so on. It would be amazing if you upload your own photos too!

Hi everyone! :)

I’m a Swiss physician (clinical experience in neurosurgery and psychiatry – I just love all things neuroscience) who started to dive into Data Science in spring last year and recently graduated from the GA Data Science Immersive program. I’m now trying to find a remote-first data-related team where I could learn more (there is so much to learn, it is amazing). Happy to connect with anyone working remotely in the data world!

Hi, I am Doris – a digital nomad for over 12 years now. Also, I hadn’t heard the word during the first years. I just fled from icy Canada to the South and West every winter for five months. First together with my dog, and since he passed away, just by myself. I am renting an apartment, a beach house, or long-term hotel room and writing my books and articles.

Right now I am in Baja California Sur where friends opened a small hotel and RV resort with casita apartments, the TangoAzul Resort, in La Ventana, a world-class kite-surfer mecca. Also, I am not that sportive, I enjoy snorkeling in the blue-green waters and the quiet life here – and the 5G high-speed Internet. I drove here by car and took thousands of photos on my way, and here in Mexico.

Hey smymisr!

Isn’t Egypt one of the cheapest places to live? Don’t they have low electricity costs? If so why not crypto mine? Before the recent drop many people were recovering their hardware costs in about 6-8 months if their electricity was around $.07/kwh. No other investment could be as good as that. Not sure if its legal there or not. A lot of countries in the middle east that use oil for electrical power have really low electricity costs but some don’t allow crypto mining for obvious reasons.

The problem with crypto mining is that things can change fast resulting in much lower revenue later so you really have to be on top of the news so if there’s a change you can sell off your hardware fast. If its taxable to cash out in Egypt just cash out in another country where its not taxable. Or save it for later – when its a lot higher.

Welcome @mktbigboss , I just removed the HTML code from your reply because it was hard to read. This is an international community, so please use English ya. It would be greatly appreciated if you could edit it to English. Thank you so much! ?
