Dominican Republic Info
The Dominican Republic is the largest of the Antilles, occupying the eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola. It shares the island roughly in the middle with Haiti. The terrain of the Dominican Republic is rugged, with mountain ranges and valleys, hills, and lowlands. There is little level ground, making the building of roads and railroads quite difficult. The coastline is also rocky and irregular, with many small offshore islands and cays.
