Caribbean Netherlands Info
The Caribbean Netherlands are made up of the islands of Bonaire, Saba, St Eustatius, and St Maarten. Combined, they only take up a total area of 4.5 square miles, with a population of 40,000. The islands are a unique part of the Netherlands, as they are the only part of the Kingdom with special status (as part of the European Netherlands). Bonaire is the biggest of the islands, and in fact it is the biggest of the ABC islands, as it is separated from Aruba by the saltiest of the ocean currents.
